PurPower Yoga Basics:

Lightly Heated
This class slows down the pace and focuses on the fundamental art form of Power Vinyasa Yoga. It includes the detailed alignment of postures and correct breathing, along with the mental and physical benefits of Power Vinyasa Yoga. This class is the perfect foundation for both new and experienced yogis.
No experience needed.

PurPower Yoga:

Feel the power of heat. This class that combines strength and sweat to sculpt and tone your muscles, while freeing your mind and using breathwork through fluid movement. Points of alignment are applied throughout the practice as poses progress from basic to more advanced. Power Yoga offers opportunities to practice more complex inversions, balancing postures, twits and bends. The class moves at a pace in which students can deepen into each pose, fine-tune their alignment and gain greater body-mind awareness.
Prior yoga experience recommended.

PurRestore Yoga:

This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body. This class is appropriate for students of all levels.

Pur Yin Yoga:

Non- heated
Experience profound stillness and silence with this art form. Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, primarily between the navel and the knees. Energetically, Yin Yoga opens the body’s meridian system, which enhances the body’s energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium. Floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive “stress” on the deep layers of the body’s connective tissue. Yin Yoga prepares both the body and the mind for deeper experiences in meditation.

PurSoulful Flow:

This is a 60 minute candlelit 90 degree heated class encompassing a strong & slow, standing flow to warm the body with an emphasis on deep hip openers and various yin poses. Ground down and turn inward as you melt away muscular tension and deeply held, stagnant energy in the body.

Are you expecting or soon-to-be expecting? Come to PūrYoga and nourish your maternal nature during your pregnancy journey. This class focuses on mind-body awareness to connect with your body, your growing baby and your innate wisdom. Specifically, it strengthens the uterus and pelvic muscles, improves circulation, aids in digestion, exercises the spine, prepares you physically and mentally for labor and birth, and increases your overall comfort. This yoga can also help to alleviate possible discomforts of pregnancy such as nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, back pain and sciatica.

Prenatal classes provide a warm, safe environment for expectant moms to talk freely about the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of their pregnancy experience. New moms are encouraged to return to class post-delivery to regain strength and prepare the body for returning to general yoga classes. If you are trying to conceive, we encourage you to attend prenatal class and bask in the life-affirming energy of pregnancy.

If you can’t attend our prenatal classes due to scheduling, call us and we’ll help you find a gentle yoga or non-heated class that best fits your schedule. We can also assist you privately with how to safely practice while expecting.

Please note: No prior yoga experience is necessary; however, please check with your healthcare provider and/or midwife before starting any kind of exercise program. While we understand that Hot Yoga may be part of your yoga practice, we ask that you refrain from Hot Yoga classes at PūrYoga while expecting.
